Winnipeg Damp Proofing was founded by Jonathan de Vos, a third-year student at the U of M studying mechanical engineering. Working part-time in construction throughout school, Jon developed a passion for the industry. So in July of 2015, with his former boss as his first customer, he went into business for himself to create a grassroots construction company. After graduating in 2017, Winnipeg Damp Proofing has doubled in size each year.

We now employ over half a dozen people and are continuously growing. In response to this, with the help and guidance of the MHCA Work safely team, we are developing a rigorous safety program to ensure a sustainable future for the company.
